As someone who is far from the golden sheep to my adoptive father but who is close to a younger sibling who is very popular and well favored in the family; if you care enough about your sibling you will leave well enough alone. My statement to the sibling who feels left out might not be popular but I think it is more important for you to reach out to your sibling on how you feel rather than try to change your parents’ mind. In my situation it is the exact opposite, as far as I know, I do not stand to gain anything from my adoptive father and I made it clear it clear to another sibling that I would understand if they are the sole and only beneficiary of whatever is left because for me getting along with my sibling is more important than trying to obtain financial benefits that I should be trying to create myself instead of expecting others to provide. Additionally, I say this because someone may be getting kicked in the game of life for now, but there is also the chance that the same person can become a master at the game of life within five years of less from now.

I admit that one of the reasons why the Westworld tv show catches my attention is because of the adventure component that is attached to it, such as the case with the Vikings tv show from the History channel and the Last Ship (which are also good tv shows).

From my perspective, Elizabeth Hurley and Ellie Goulding look at ease in these two photos and self-confident with themselves. For Hurley’s daring look, I take her hat look as an empowering symbolism towards the positive traits affiliated with the phoenix.

This cd collection of NOW That’s What I Call The 90s by various artists contains a superb mix of various rock and pop songs from the 1990’s. There are 18 songs on this cd streamlining eclectic music rock/pop blends such as Ordinary World by Duran Duran, Shine by Collective Soul, You Gotta Be by Desree, One Week by Barenaked Ladies, Lullaby by Shawn Mullins (the Lullaby song came to me in a dream one night in 2009 when I was actually nervous about a professional change I was voluntarily making and I’m blessed to say that things turned out better than I expected). Sublime, Live, Joan Osborne, and more songs are also featured within this collection.

This two dvd set of Depeche Mode – Videos 86>98 + is a worthwhile purchase for me for two reasons. The first reason has to do with the multiple music videos on both discs that showcase original and well-thought out songs (such as the push the envelope yet unique World in My Eyes, In Your Room, Walking In My Shoes etc). There are also the features of an Interview With Depeche Mode, Depeche Mode-A Short Film. Disc Two has 4 different music videos of But Not Tonight (listed to be from the film Modern Girls which makes me curious to check out the movie), Strange Love 88 (US Version), One Caress (US Video), Condenmation (Paris Mix) plus 3 short films listed to be Violator 13/11/90, Songs of Faith & Devotion 27/01/93 and Ultra 26/02/97. Basically, Disc One has 126 minutes of music video and Depeche Mode footage which is divided up into 23 tracks. Disc Two is 87 minutes and divided up into 4 different music videos and 3 short films. Additionally, having these music videos brings back positive memories for me because this dvd set is a related variation on the two disc music cd set that my spouse bought for me back in January 2005 for our one year wedding anniversary. My husband, who I admit stoked my interest in Depeche Mode when we first started dating in 2003 with the Depeche Mode Exciter cd, gifted me with disc one of The Singles 86>98 by Depeche Mode as well as the Singles 81>85 by Depeche Mode around January 2005.

It is easy for me to enjoy multiple songs from this collection of Essential R&B; 40 Essential Urban Licks (featuring various artists) due to my previous familiarity with many of the songs. I had previously heard some of these songs from as far back as during my time in middle school (Right Here by SWV and Back and Forth by Aaliyah), during my time in high school (Hard Knock Life by JayZ) and when I was living in Japan and then California through the U.S. Navy (Beautiful by Snoop Dogg feat. Pharrell, One Call Away by Chingy etc.). The one feature that I like the most on this cd is a good variety of songs by female and male artists and groups that have been featured through radio airplay andor television (as well as different decades featured through the 90s and the early 2000’s).

For me, this kindlebook of TV (the book) Two Experts Pick The Greatest American Shows of All Time by Alan Sepinwall and Matt Zoller Zeitz is a good guide to look into because it exposes me to the awareness of tv shows for me to check out that transcend beyond my targeted demographic. Fortunately, my husband ignored whether I was the target audience when he introduced me to the Vikings television show,Venture Bros., and Doctor Who. Additionally, I would not have found out about the Last Ship Tv show without looking at guides such as Entertainment Weekly or my recent discovery of Westworld (from the Washingtonian magazine website). I understand that sometimes shows tailored to/targeted in ads to someone like me are done with good intent. However, my intuition/logic influencing me to check out even television shows that I know that I’m not the target audience for as a way for helping me to understand good storytelling in a better fashion, fulfill my craving for adventure, and expose me to different ways of thinking (human nature wise) that open my mind to accepting different viewpoints from mine (regardless of whether I think such thoughts are of a dark nature or a good nature). This kindlebook currently has images of various actors/actresses from various tv shows such as Jon Hamm for what looks to be Mad Men, Bryan Cranston for Breaking Bad, Kerry Washington for Scandal, actors/actress affiliated with the Seinfeld tv show, an image of what looks to be for the 30 Rock tv show of Tina Fey and Tracy Morgan, and more tv show images on the front cover. One of the criteria that they admit to using is basing it on US Televisions shows (they acknowledge the popularity of such show as Fawlty Towers, Kingdom etc.). One season shows are also featured such as My So-Called Life and shows written about for groups (The Golden Girls, Friends). Detailed explanations are given in the book such as for the reasoning behind the selection of The Simpsons tv show.

I admit that I also purchased this book as an encouragement/book mentor to myself to continue improving on and sharpening my writing skills regardless of what is reflected in my external reality. The book touches on areas such as deliberate practice (page 7) and hiring a teacher andor coach for certain objectives related to desired skill building (page 67). Knowing Where You Want to Go is touched on (page 109) and allocating time and resources towards deliberate practice (page 171).

I admit that I actually pre-ordered the Glory (Deluxe Version) by Britney Spears this past summer courtesy of my husband (who happened to have picked up on my interest in Britney Spears one year when he purchased her Blackout cd for me around my 27th birthday). This collection has a list of songs grow on me each listen to where it is tricky for me to choose and I would obviously plan to watch any video releases in connection with this cd. Of course there are also the well known hits Make Me feat. G-Eazy and Slumber Party. However, I have to agree with the others who say that this collection is actually one of the cds that you can play each song through without skipping a song. I would say that the best way to determine if you would like this collection is to go ahead and play the songs Private Show, Hard to Forget Ya, and Change Your Mind (because the whole tempo of the Glory collection is along the lines of these songs).

If You Watched Season One of Queer As Folk and liked some of the music from the show, then there is a good chance that you might like the music to the Queer As Folk cd featuring various artists. I admit that back in 2014 I purchased season one of this show at first thinking I would get a variation of the Mad Men tv show, yet I still ended up enjoying the season one dvd set and this Queer as Folk Season one cd despite both the tv show and the music being different from what I initially expected. The songs on this cd have a mixed blend of club, house, and disco music on multiple songs and unique songs that I would not have heard had it not been for the discovery of this cd (such as the song Straight to Number One (DreamCatcher’s Mix by Touch & Go).

I preface this review by making it clear that I’m flattered to have been confused for a paid reviewer/paid writer before but I write these reviews as a passion and a way to expand my way of thinking as an author. The Successful Author Mindset; A Handbook For Surviving The Writer’s Journey by Joanna Penn (kindlebook version) caught my attention for multiple reasons. One of the reasons has to do with the admission that I write to help me therapeutically tap into the self-confident and carefree spirit that helped me to become valedictorian of my 8th grade graduating class (author Doreen Virtue inspired me from one of her books the Courage To Be Creative to allow myself to take up writing for creative writing therapy). Additionally, like millions of others who have writing dreams, I have reasons to continue my writing journey for life stemming from some reasons I prefer to keep secret. However, what I do feel comfortable sharing is that reading about the the author who penned the book for the Revenant movie and still works full-time made me realize that I harbor dreams of being a writer for life while still holding a full-time job (with awareness that I must hold little concern for whether my determination and intent to be a writer/author for life culminates in obscurity andor fame). Anyhow, one of the advice takeaways that was healing for me to glean from Joanna Penn’s book was the benefit of a writer making a creative date for themselves to where they would allow themselves to do activities andor go out places that would help creativity. I also like some of the online resources and books that Joanna Penn includes as mentorship and support for a writer whether they are just beginning their authorship journey or if they have been pursuing writing for quite a while. She also gives helpful advice on when to listen to a critic and when it is ok to leave the criticism alone. She also makes it clear in a healing way that criticism often comes to those who stand out in a positive way even when the persons being criticized for their writing may not realize it. Penn also makes it clear that a writer must try to recognize their own critical thoughts to their writing when it comes up and gives suggestions for how to compassionately tell your inner critic to relax while making a time to honor the critic later (plus more constructive advice). I also acknowledge that I’m blessed with an amazing husband who encourages and supports my goal to be a writer/author while also balancing a full-time job.

I’m feeling fortunate in life to say that I am blessed to always have a loving husband, a caring mother in law,my basic needs such as that for shelter and housing provided for me as well as great physical health. Additionally, one of the things that has influenced my interest in the afterlife has to do with information given to me about my past lifetimes given to me by two different psychics from different backgrounds that I talked to six years apart. I was told that in some of my past lifetimes that I had been blessed with great wealth, as well as gifts on the intellectual and occult/spiritual front. However, I had been told by these two different psychics (that I talked to six years apart) that my current lifetime is a way of me karmically balancing the fact that I had been power-hungry with these gifts/talents. I’m tempted to say more but I’m intuitively being influenced to avoid doing so and to publicly keep secret how long I have known about my current lifetime being a karmic balance to my past lifetimes where I basically used my practical midas touch and spiritual consciousness for evil. Anyhow, coming across this book The Astral Codex;Using Dreams and Out of Body Experiences On A Spiritual Journey by Belsebuub has been healing for me because it has also helped me let go and work on healing pride when the spiritual test around this comes up. For instance, on page 65 the author shares that secret spiritual knowledge, increased wisdom, and spiritual gifts are going to be granted to a person according to their spiritual development as well as taking up the spiritual path for good. The author shares that there are also a great deal of people who know how to use spiritual consciousness for evil ends and that he has seen this evil permeate esoteric societies. Pages 88-89 touches on dream, dream recall, dream diary and why it is important to respond to environmental stimuli (which was important for me to come across to heal my temptation to ignore environment stimuli for reasons I prefer to avoid disclosing but I now have more courage to pay more attention to environmental stimuli after coming across that information). There is also information such as on page 107 on how the psyche influences the way a person experiences astral travel, dreams, and out of body experiences and what can be done about that, plus much more.

The Pirates of Silicon Valley (starring Noah Wyle and Anthony Michael Hall)caught my attention as a way of helping me understand how human nature and professional relationships mix when competition is involved. What is also unique is the fact that this movie was still made when Steve Jobs was alive. The movie was careful to avoid showing favoritism to neither Bill Gates of Steve Jobs. For the Steve Jobs character, there was the moment when he actually asked a person interviewing for the job about their virginity. The relationship dynamics between Steve Jobs, his daughter Lisa Jobs, and Lisa’s mother Chrisann Brennan. There is also the tension shown when the character of Bill Gates shows up to Steve Job’s house to determine if he is using Steve Job’s ideas. Some of the facts listed at the end of the Pirates of the Silicon Valley movie;Sam Wozniak now teaches computers to school children and funds a ballet. Lisa is now part of Steve Jobs new family. Steve Jobs returned to Apple in 1997. There are also movie trailers for Pirates of Silicon Valley, the Librarian Quest for the Spear, and Evil Knievel.

This review is from: Black Hawk Down (DVD)
This movie Black Hawk Down featured multiple tragic and yet poignant performances from various actors (Josh Harnett, Ewan McGregor and many more) to where I admit that it is tricky for me to decide where to start. For starters, the movie dvd opens with sharing that part of the reason why the American soldiers were deployed to this area of Somalia that the area featured had to do with hunger being used as a tool for death even when there were international humanitarian missions involving food deliveries. I admit that I have to study more history involving this movie before writing too much more. However, I reluctantly admit that this movie shot footage in a way that suggests that one of the reasons why the fighting took as long as it did was that there were many more of their soldiers to the number of American soldiers. My logic is stopping me from saying more. One of the details shared towards the end of this tragic yet still well acted movie was that during the raid over 1,000 Somalis died and 19 American soldiers lost their lives.

I feel lucky to admit that I decided to try this & Pizza near Chinatown less than three weeks ago after my mother in law treated me there for my birthday as she was also visiting (along with my brother in law and nieces). My mother in law, my husband, my brother in law and nieces all seemed to like their pizzas. I tried the Maverick pizza that comes with various meats-pepperoni, Italian sausage, tomato, mozzarella, pesto, parmesan. I actually had the same pizza when I came back less than two weeks later and fortunately it still tasted good and the customer service I got from the employees handling my order were also satisfactory. The appetizing drink combinations that they have at this location; burdock and Anise root beer, cherry bomb, ginger berry lemonade, pear & fig elixir. Additionally, I have previously had pizza from such places as the &Pizza location inside the Ronald Reagan National Airport (October 2016) and near the Columbia Heights metro (April 2016), which fortunately my personal experience at this Chinatown &Pizza location matched up with the Columbia Heights and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport experiences. I admit that it helped that my most recent experience pertained to me visiting on a Friday evening before a crowd of customers normally come (I came around 4:10 p.m. on my recent visit and even one of the employees politely explained that I came before the timeframe of their expected rush).
